Job Description
Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Master Planner/Cost Controller is responsible for production scheduling, maintenance/calibration planning, and financial control for projects and sustaining needs. The role works closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Accounts Payable, Quality, College Park personnel, and suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities Scheduling & Planning
  • Develop and maintain the integrated manufacturing schedule to include Operations, Engineering, Quality, Cleaning, Project, and external activities, identifying key milestones and interdependent activities.
  • Schedule manufacturing activities.
  • Schedule calibration activities.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance activities.
  • Yearly master schedule forecasting and generation of schedule scenarios as needed.
  • Engage vendors for scheduling and planning of requalification or maintenance activities.
  • Manage consumption of key input utilities, scheduling around material availability, and forecast material requirements, including inspection and release activities.
Cost Control
  • Manage cost control monthly KPIs.
  • Request quotations for equipment and services, set up suppliers, and ensure compliance; raise and update purchase orders as required.
  • Track purchase orders, contractor costs, and expected monthly spend.
  • Review open purchase orders and request closures when required.
  • Close out capital and sustaining projects.
  • Track project budgets, actual and predicted spend.
  • Track projected and actual contractor costs for full time contractor projects.
  • Provide general support for purchase order and invoice inquiries.
  • Assist with asset capitalization and provide reports relating to purchase orders and budgets.
Administrative
  • Support retrieval, approval, storage, and transmittal of documentation; update SOPs; generate memorandums, work instructions, and approval forms.
  • Manage weekly and monthly KPIs for manufacturing and engineering.
  • Oversee CBR/PBR documentation cycle time through issuance, execution, and review.
Experience, Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Minimum Level 6 qualification in Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Project Management qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in administration, scheduling or procurement.
  • Experience in procurement transactional activities including purchase requisitions, supplier set ups, problem resolution, invoice on hold resolutions, and procurement helpdesk duties.
Competencies / Preferred Skills
  • Project management and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Visio, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro, SAP/COUPA, SharePoint).
  • Highly organized; ability to prioritize and self manage time and work duties.
  • Experience in a fast paced multinational environment.
  • Good documentation practice.
