Master Data Management (MDM) Consultant (m/f)

Skills:

• Hands-on expertise with MDM platforms (eg, Stibo STEP, Informatica), data modelling, governance, and data quality management.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL (eg, MongoDB), Real Time streaming technologies like Kafka, and cloud data services (Snowflake, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, etc.).

• 8+ years of experience in data or software engineering roles, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade MDM or Data Platform solutions.

• Experience in distributed data architectures, microservices, and canonical modelling.

• Demonstrated ability to influence engineering practices at scale, drive consensus, and elevate technical standards across teams.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Passion for continuous learning, experimentation, and technical excellence

• Postgraduate certifications in Data Management, Cloud Platforms, or Software Engineering.

• Experience in retail or grocery industries with large-scale MDM implementations.

Tasks:

• Povide technical leadership and architecture direction for the enterprise MDM hub, ensuring robust integration with other platforms and downstream systems.
• Design and optimize scalable data models, canonical structures, business rules, and data quality frameworks, in collaboration with data governance, stewardship, and architecture teams.
• Serve as a hands-on expert with MDM platforms (eg, Stibo STEP, Informatica) and integration tools, guiding teams through implementation and troubleshooting complex challenges.
• Champion engineering excellence by influencing coding standards, testing practices, observability, documentation, and system reliability across MDM initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Architects, and business stakeholders to translate business goals into sound technical solutions and long-term architectural roadmaps.
• Act as a subject matter expert and mentor, supporting engineers in problem-solving, reviewing designs, and fostering technical growth.
