Job Description

As a Marketing & Communications Manager, you will work closely with the Director of BD & Marketing, Partners, and senior stakeholders to deliver the firm's marketing and communications strategy. This includes leading on digital campaigns, events, PR, and content creation aligned with the firm's growth objectives.

You will manage the BD & Marketing Assistant and collaborate with external agencies to ensure high-quality output across all channels. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, proactive, and confident in managing multiple projects with precision and creativity.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead innovative content marketing campaigns and advise teams on effective platforms and channels
  • Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all media and communications
  • Organise and manage a programme of physical and virtual events, advising teams on best practices
  • Oversee the firm's Passle platform, including content support, training, and website updates
  • Manage email campaigns using DotDigital, including e-briefings, newsletters, and event invitations
  • Collaborate with digital agencies to develop plans, report on performance, and maximise ROI
  • Edit and proofread thought leadership pieces to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Create compelling copy and monitor market trends to inform content strategy
  • Identify PR opportunities to amplify thought leadership and firm visibility
  • Track and report on website traffic, email engagement, and social media performance
  • Monitor and manage marketing budgets, ensuring accurate reporting
  • Support other ad hoc marketing and communications tasks as required
Skills and qualifications
  • Minimum six years' experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong academic background; marketing, communications, or journalism degree or CIM qualified
  • Proven experience in digital marketing and campaign delivery
  • Excellent editing, proofreading, and copywriting skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and people leadership skills
  • Proficient in email marketing software (DotDigital, Adobe Suite, Foleon)
  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of market trends
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Professional, positive, and collaborative approach
  • Hybrid working model (after six weeks of employment)
