Job Description:Role Overview: As a Field Interviewer, you'll visit people's homes to conduct interviews using a tablet, gathering insights that influence public policy and services across the UK. This role involves community engagement, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visiting households as part of social research projects.
- Engaging with participants and conducting interviews.
- Handling rejection professionally and maintaining motivation.
- Contributing to data collection that impacts public policy.
We are Britain's largest independent social research organisation, dedicated to shaping policies through real-life experiences. We operate nationwide with over 700 interviewers and nurses.
Recruitment Process:Application, one-way video interview, final interview (role play), and offer. Support available for reasonable adjustments.
Skills & Requirements:- Curious, confident, resilient, and motivated by meaningful work.
- Valid UK driving license and sole use of a car.
- Class 1 Business insurance.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
- Reliable internet, a laptop or tablet with a camera, and basic tech confidence.
- Availability for at least 20 hours/week, including evenings and weekends.
Flexible freelance role earning typically £18-£20 per interview, with additional bonuses, admin fees, and holiday pay (12.1%). Average earnings around £15.12/hour including holiday pay.
Additional benefits include travel time pay, mileage reimbursement, and performance bonuses.
