Manufacturing Technician 3 (Weekend Day Shift)

This role will be transitioning to our Backend Day Shift in Q4 2026. This will consist of 12-hour day shifts every Friday to Sunday and alternate Thursdays, following a repeating 4-on/3-off - 3-on/4-off schedule.
Shift Premium15% premium only for Sat/Sun, no shift premium for Thurs/Fri

Responsibilities- You will work with schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshoot functions.
- You will test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test equipment.
- You will operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
- You will analyze and record test results, and prepare written documentation.
- You will perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
- You will carry out activities in equipment development under supervision of the project engineer. These activities include the assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, completing engineering studies and validations.
- You will follow Dexcom's Safety and Lock Out/Tag out (LOTO) program.
- You will assume and perform other duties as assigned.
- You will perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.
- You will update equipment related documentations (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.
- Typically requires a Level 6/7 qualification and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
- Ability to write routine reports, pass downs and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers and managers.
- Knowledge of and experience with PLC and automated production/process equipment is essential. Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electro/ mechanical systems and resistance welders is highly desirable.
- Experience with process improvement projects i.e. improving yields, reducing downtime.
- Proven ability to work hands on in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills.
- Knowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Technical writing skills as applied to manufacturing documentation and process development-for example, experience in the creation and revision of technical documentation.
