Manufacturing Engineer

An experienced Manufacturing Engineer is required by Careerwise recruitment to work with our Galway-based manufacturing client.

Role of this position

Responsible for New Production Introduction (NPI) implementing the manufacturing process for volume production.

Lead on internal manufacturing processes/projects using Project execution methodologies and good manufacturing practices.

Communicating with internal and external customers informing on project status updates, identifying risks and mitigation plans.

Operating within company Quality Management system executing on good manufacturing practices and support audit readiness.

Engage and champion a Continuous Improvement mindset, driving improvements across all metrics.

Assist Business development function with the quotation process as required.

Maintenance of Bill of Materials actioning customer change requests, updates and EOL scenarios.

Support re-layout of production floors as required.

Job Requirements

• Level 8 Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering Qualification.
• Demonstrable capacity, capability and desire to learn new manufacturing processes and techniques that may be outside of the candidate's current experience. This role provides significant personal and professional development opportunity.
• Proficient in LEAN and Six Sigma Tools and techniques - Green belt or equivalent level of experience driving improvements.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
