The rebrand and investment mark the start of a powerful new chapter, connecting Manchester to the global cricket stage and accelerating the team's growth.There really has never been a more exciting time to be part of Cricket.The impact you will make: We are looking for a proactive and motivated Head of Commercial Growth to deliver a commercial strategy that drives revenue for the Manchester Originals.You will play a pivotal role in driving the team's commercial success, with responsibility for generating and growing revenue across all streams, securing new partnerships and expanding into wider growth areas including ticketing, premium experiences, and fan engagement.You'll also help shape the team that can deliver long-term commercial success, growing both revenues and our connection with fans.Additionally, a key focus will be on unlocking new opportunities around Manchester Super Giants (MSG) and the wider RPSG Group, while aligning, where possible, with the commercial strategies of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Durban Super Giants (DSG), and Lancashire County Cricket Club (LCCC).Key responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and secure new partnerships. Through research, prospecting, negotiating and closing.
- Lead on the development and delivery of the strategy to grow all commercial revenue for the team.
- Build strong alignment with RPSG and LCCC commercial teams to maximise opportunities across the group.
- Develop and deliver strategies to maximise ticket and premium experience sales.
- Collaborate with digital team colleagues to deliver world-leading digital channels and experiences for fans and customers.
- Proactively manage and activate partnerships and ensure best in class partnership delivery.
- Work closely with each of RPSG and LCCC's commercial teams and joint working groups to optimise existing independent commercial relationships of each of RPSG and LCCC.
- Eventually support the building of a team to further drive forward the commercial department of the team.
- Proven commercial experience within the sports industry.
- Track record of securing significant partnership deals within sport. Ideally in another sports organisation or sports marketing agency.
- A track record of growing commercial revenue lines. With a focus on partnerships but also other key revenues such as ticketing and premium experiences.
- Ability and experience of managing, navigating and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
- Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence, build trust, and close deals.
- Highly driven and adaptable, with the resilience to overcome challenges and deliver.
