ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of the Managing Principal is for strategic vision, leadership, inspiration, quality assurance, and profitability of the office to ensure the annual plan is implemented.
The Managing Principal role at HDR requires a collaborative attitude. While focused on the success of the London office, you will work closely with other Managing Principals and leaders across the firm to implement sound business practices, deliver high-quality service to clients, and lead the office's growth.
To achieve success, the Managing Principal will work with their team and market sector leaders to develop relationships with target clients and pursue new projects in the region. This will involve collaboration with local designers, technical leaders, and national experts as needed. Responsibilities include overseeing personnel activities, implementing plans, marketing strategies, public relations, project and financial planning, staff oversight, establishing office policies, ensuring adherence to corporate policies, managing project contracts and budgets, and maintaining quality control processes. The Managing Principal may also lead larger project teams and perform other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education, and/or Science sectors
- Preference for candidates in the local market
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field
- Professional Architectural registration
- Good leadership and organizational skills
- Service- and client-oriented personality
- Professional registration with relevant technical experience
- Extensive experience managing diverse teams
- Active participation in our employee-owned culture
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 10 years management experience
