Key job responsibilities
Role: Vendor Consultants Manager in Retail Business Services (RBS). You will help shape and deliver the strategy for managing Amazon vendors. The RBS team seeks a customer-centric, driven, and creative people leader to join the team. This role leads a team of Vendor Consultants responsible for managing business growth for influential Selling Partners (vendors) on Amazon, ensuring partner satisfaction with high service standards. You will manage strategic joint business plans across your team by collaborating with partners to identify and execute new operational improvement opportunities. You will interface with leaders from Retail and Vendor Services and oversee all operational aspects of the vendor's business with Amazon. Your team will engage with multiple internal teams to optimize the product line for key manufacturers on Amazon. The candidate thrives in ambiguity, developing and iterating data, processes, mechanisms, and guardrails to improve the customer experience. You are a business owner who understands levers to drive growth and can operationalize them across the team. You have a passion for people leadership and excel at building and developing high-performing teams. Your team will use skills across site merchandising, buying, inventory management, finance, operations, and online marketing to drive performance of strategic vendor partners. You will focus on strategic and operational aspects of managing vendor relationships and improving the customer experience.
A day in the life
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead a team of Vendor Consultants, prioritizing strategic initiatives and providing escalation support as needed.
- Measure success by the performance of internal teams on input metrics and the impact on vendor-driven customer experience.
- Identify and advise on improvements to business input metrics that drive growth and improve the end customer experience, in collaboration with other Amazon programs and teams.
- Manage end-to-end goal setting for the team to align with organizational goals.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across the portfolio; proactively develop joint business plan action items and act as a point of escalation for pending issues and concerns.
- Define success criteria, understand business needs of Selling Partners, and contribute to strategic plans and organizational documents.
- Lead recruiting and hiring efforts across the direct team and broader organization.
- Manage stakeholder needs and monitor complexity through efficient resource allocation of Vendor Consultants.
- Monitor stakeholder satisfaction survey results to analyze trends and establish improvement plans while managing expectations with Vendor Consultants.
- 5+ years of team management experience
