Job Description
Fund Accounting Manager

As a Fund Accounting Manager at SEI, you will lead a team and manage a portfolio of clients in a high growth area. You will maintain client relationships, ensure timely and accurate NAVs, provide root cause analysis, lead process improvements, and support new business initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary senior point of contact for clients on accounting matters.
  • Ensure delivery of timely and accurate NAVs and resolve client queries promptly.
  • Own root cause analysis for issues and ensure fit for purpose remediation.
  • Participate in, or lead, department initiatives and group projects related to operating model improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure all procedures and controls are adhered to.
  • Plan and manage team resources, partnering with other teams.
  • Train, coach, and mentor new employees; develop and motivate staff.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, third parties and functional groups across SEI.
  • Represent SEI and present Administrator's report at Fund Board Meetings as required.
  • Review fund documents before new fund launches to identify operational issues and risks.
  • Provide ongoing subject matter expertise to support new business efforts.
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years' experience in alternative funds, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience in private markets is preferable.
  • Experience working on a fund accounting system such as Investran or Geneva.
  • Strong knowledge of alternative fund structures, diverse fund domiciles, regulatory requirements and performance calculations.
  • Demonstrable experience in fund/fee documentation review and interpretation.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong data management skills.
  • ACCA qualification is preferable but not essential.
  • Curious mindset and ability to execute change.
