Manager 4 Aces Cash and Carry - Portlaoise

Applications are invited for the position of Manager 4 Aces Cash and Carry Portlaoise.

Key Responsibility

Reporting to the Regional Manager the purpose of this role is to manage the Cash & Carry operation and achieve budget while ensuring the branch operates in a professional, compliant and profitable manner. This will be achieved through the effective management of operational policies & procedures, and the promotion of excellent customer-service standards and positive employee relations, in line with the BWG Compass.

The Role
  • Deliver on Customer Service Levels Targets as set out.
  • To manage and exceed branch margin and profitability.
  • Optimise sales within the branch.
  • Ensure the effective execution of stock management objectives/policies.
  • Ensure marketing of the branch is in line with company policy to optimise sales.
  • Manage Overheads within the Branch.
  • Effectively manage debtors.
  • Ensure cash management policies and procedures are maintained in line with Company Policy.
  • Actively comply and promote company policies in relation to Health and Safety, Security, Medicinal products, and Food Safety.
The successful candidate will:
  • Have proven experience within Grocery Wholesale and the Licensed Trade.
  • Demonstrate a strong strategic and operational focus, with excellent management and leadership capability.
  • Effectively manage and grow existing accounts while identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve company objectives and performance targets.
  • Be a results driven professional with strong planning, organisational, and execution skills.
  • Operate with high integrity, building and maintaining effective, long term business relationships.
  • Be a confident and credible leader, committed to achieving operational and commercial excellence.
  • Be a highly motivated self starter, capable of taking initiative and working with minimal supervision.
  • Possess excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Be an analytical and commercial thinker, able to assess situations, identify key issues, and implement timely solutions.
  • Have strong financial acumen, with full accountability for branch margins, profitability, and performance expectations.
