Job Overview: Responsible for managing the activities, operations and performance to ensure daily objectives of the department are met in a quality manner.Sets goals and objectives for team members for week to week operational activities of the team.Contributes to departmental strategy and interprets to determine objectives to meet strategic goals.Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, and development of staff.Ensures adherence to appropriate quality control systems and procedures.Maintains SOPs to ensure all procedures are documented and required amendments to procedures are highlighted and progressed immediately.Responsible for purchasing equipment within established parameters for the position or recommend items to be purchased to the head of the department.Manages staff in accordance with organization's policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or other equivalent combination of education and experience. Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritising , coaching and process execution. Strong knowledge of study set up and cross functional/system dependencies 5-7 years experience in Specimen Management.
