Job Description

Our client, a well-established professional services firm, is seeking an ambitious and experienced Manager to join their expanding Corporate Division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified professional with solid practice experience who enjoys working directly with clients, managing compliance requirements, and providing high-quality advisory support across a broad spectrum of financial matters.

The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for clients, developing strong relationships and working seamlessly with internal teams and external advisors to deliver a first-class service.

What you will be doing as a Manager

  • Develop an understanding of each client's broader commercial and financial affairs, demonstrating initiative and commercial awareness.
  • Identify and provide practical solutions to client issues, covering both corporate and personal financial matters.
  • Deliver well thought-through advice in collaboration with Partners and other advisers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, their internal teams, and external stakeholders, assisting on ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Oversee compliance deadlines, ensuring the smooth coordination between clients and internal teams.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure deadlines and expectations are consistently met, escalating and resolving delivery challenges where necessary.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure a joined-up approach across all services provided.

What you will need to succeed as a Manager

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • A proactive professional with a strong work ethic and commitment to providing superior client service.
  • Able to guide, support, and develop junior team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust at all levels.
  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of risk management.
  • A team player who is confident taking ownership, managing priorities, and using initiative to solve problems.
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple demands within agreed budgets and deadlines.
  • Strong prior experience within professional practice, including exposure to international tax matters.
  • Solid knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105 reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with both desktop and cloud-based bookkeeping systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
