The Role

To ensure an efficient and effective support service by providing a comprehensive confidential secretarial and administrative service across the whole range of the Management Team remit.

In this key role, you will
  • Provide a comprehensive, high calibre secretarial and administrative service to the Management Team to support the locality business agenda. This includes production of letters and reports, drafting routine correspondence, and collating information as required.
  • Manage diary commitments and schedule meetings by liaising with a wide range of staff both internal and external to the NHS to ensure that the Management team business is progressed.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and telephone calls, including prioritising the workload, distributing mail, initiating required action, and setting/noting deadlines for the return of information or replies. Follow up delayed responses and self initiate replies to ensure appropriate and timely responses.
  • Create and maintain databases for a variety of management team information requirements including absence management and local training data. Produce regular reports to inform the management team in its delivery of performance management objectives.
What You'll Bring
  • Professional qualification such as an HNC in a relevant discipline (Business Admin/Secretarial Studies/Public Administration) or equivalent experience in a secretarial/declaratory role.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
