Are you a Management Accountant who wants to do more than report the numbers?

This role offers the opportunity to work at the point where finance and manufacturing meet. You will develop a detailed understanding of production costs, stock movements and operational performance,then turn that information into practical insights for the wider business.

Joining an established and expanding manufacturing company, you will work closely with colleagues across finance, production and operations. It is a hands-on position with a broad remit, suited to an accountant who is analytical, commercially curious and comfortable engaging with people outside the finance function.

Permenant role, Fully onsite in Longford

What You Will Be Doing:

• Preparing and presenting financial and operational analysis.
• Managing production costing and analysing manufacturing costs.
• Reporting on productivity and operational performance.
• Investigating cost, production and inventory variances.
• Completing stock and inventory reconciliations.
• Supporting month-end reporting and management accounts.
• Working with production and operational teams to strengthen cost control and stock accuracy.
• Preparing and maintaining budgets and forecasts.
• Completing daily bank reconciliations and associated finance administration.
• Identifying trends, exceptions and opportunities for improved financial performance.

What You Will Bring

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• Experience gained as a Management Accountant, Cost Accountant, Assistant Accountant or in a comparable finance position.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
• A practical, investigative approach to variances and financial data.
• The confidence to work collaboratively with finance and non-finance colleagues.

Experience within manufacturing, production or another stock-intensive environment would be an advantage. Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems would also be beneficial.
