Finance Partner

Overview

We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our Christchurch team. In this role, you will manage segments of the general accounting function, supervise the maintenance of accounting systems in accordance with GAAP, ensure integration of data, support financial analysts, compile and report management accounts, participate in audits and special projects, and maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers of the facility, preparing operating and financial statements.
• Assists in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting.
• Assists with installation and maintenance of new accounting procedures and controls.
• Directs fixed asset control and depreciation, accruals to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of general tax reports such as sales, payroll, personal property taxes, and payable/receivables.
• Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
• Develops and mentors team members across a variety of key accounting functions.

Qualifications

• 2 years PQE Experience with complex ERP systems.
• Experience in identifying and resolving complex accounting issues and discrepancies.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Understanding of relevant accounting regulations, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to develop and mentor a team of accountants.
