Interim Management Accountant

Location: Dumfries (occasional office attendance) | Contract: 12 weeks | Rate: £240/day (Inside IR35)

We're looking for a skilled Management Accountant to join on a 12-week interim basis, providing financial leadership and support across multiple projects. You'll deputise for the Divisional Finance Manager, supervise a small team, and deliver accurate financial reporting, forecasts, and advice to senior managers and budget holders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly reports, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Support service redesign and business case development.
• Supervise and develop junior finance staff.
• Provide clear financial advice to non-financial managers.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• CCAB qualified/finalist (or equivalent) with strong accounting knowledge.
• 3+ years' senior management accounting experience (public sector preferred).
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting system skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
