Youwillbethe"number2infinance"-supportingamodernthinkingFinanceDirectorinoverhaulingallexistingcontrols,reportingandmanagementinformation. It'schancetobepartofajourneyofgrowthandinvestment(andyouwillgainusefulexposuretoaPEcycleandeverythingthatcomeswithit!).

Thebusinessisprofitableandtradingwell,theyhaveanambitiousleadershipteamandyouwillbepartofprojectsdesignedtoimprovethelevelanddepthofthecommercialreportingandMI/insightswhichguidedecisionmaking.

You'llmanageasmallteamandpresentdetailedmanagementaccountstotheFD. You'lldrillintovariances,profitstreams,margins,costdrivers theFDislookingforanenthusiastic,ambitiousandproactiveaccountantwhowillbringideasandfreshinsightstothetable.

YouwillideallybestudyingtowardACCAorCIMA(orrecentlyqualified)andbelookingforavariedroleinagrowthSME.

It'sasuperbplatformforsomeonewhoultimatelyseesthemselvesprogressingintoanFDroledowntheline.

It'sahandsonpositionandyouwillneedtobecomfortabledrillingintothenumbersandmanagingateamof2transactionalfinanceassistants/clerks.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance Director in overhauling existing controls, reporting and management information.
• Present detailed management accounts, drill into variances, profit streams, margins and cost drivers.
• Manage a team of two transactional finance assistants/clerks.
• Develop and enhance systems, processes, controls and reporting.
• Provide actionable insights and commercial understanding to support decision making.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Qualified or studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to use data to extract meaningful MI and ask relevant questions.
• Proactive and methodical approach to enhancing systems, processes, controls and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Natural curiosity and drive to gain commercial understanding of the business and support further growth.
