We are seeking a Maintenance Shift Technician with a strong electrical background to support high-volume assembly operations at our client's manufacturing site.
This is a hands on role focused on fault finding, preventative maintenance, and keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently. This position is well suited to ex military engineers, particularly from REME, RAF, Royal Navy, or Royal Engineers backgrounds, with experience maintaining electrical or electro mechanical systems in safety critical environments.
If you are comfortable fault finding electrical systems, following procedures, working to high standards, and taking ownership on shift, your skills will transfer well.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical fault finding and maintenance of plant and machinery
- Planned preventative maintenance using CMMS
- Support production uptime, quality, and safety
- Work to H&S, LOTO, and environmental standards
- Assist with continuous improvement and new equipment installation
- Time served electrical or electrically biased apprenticeship
- Experience maintaining industrial or automated equipment
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work on own initiative
- IOSH, CMMS, and CDM knowledge desirable
- Military qualifications and experience welcomed as equivalent
- Stable manufacturing environment
- Strong safety culture and clear procedures
- Training and development provided
- REME / Aircraft Technicians / Avionics Technicians
- RAF Engineering Trades (Electrical / Mechanical / Avionic)
- Royal Navy Marine Engineers / Weapons Engineers
- Royal Engineers (Electrical / Plant / Systems)
- Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) / Workshop based roles
- Technical instructors or senior technicians with hands on bias
This role offers an exceptional salary (due to client confidentiality, we can discuss salary directly with applicants). 40 hours per week on a shift pattern and 25 days holiday (pro rata).
