MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE - SWINDERBY

Due to continued organisational growth and development opportunities for our current staff, we are recruiting for a Full Time Maintenance Operative to join our Facilities Team at the beautiful Old Vicarage in Swinderby located near Lincoln.

About the job:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the buildings both at this site and others nearby.

Our sites are schools and residential homes for children and young adults with severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder and challenging behaviours. The safety and maintenance of these properties and grounds is essential in providing a safe, supportive and homely environment allowing our pupils and residents to flourish in their surroundings.

What would I be doing?

• A flexible approach to work, enthusiasm, self-motivation and prepared to work outside in all weathers and seasons.
• Carry out minor maintenance repairs to buildings / fittings as required.
• Scheduled and reactionary maintenance tasks and involvement in improvement projects.
• To comply with the current Health and Safety regulations and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of as team, taking direction from the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
• Exercise sensitivity to the needs of the pupils and residents, and consider their safety at all times.
