Job Description
Maintenance Manager-Waterford

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving equipment reliability, leading a maintenance team, ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the site maintenance team to deliver performance, uptime and safety targets.
  • Plan and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Drive equipment reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage contractors, suppliers and external service providers.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, environmental and food/manufacturing standards.
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automated systems.
  • Manage maintenance records, budgets and resource planning.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Background within manufacturing, food production, FMCG, or a comparable industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience managing and motivating maintenance teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Engineering qualification, trade qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
