Maintenance Manager

South East Ireland

An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function at a busy production facility. This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of plant operations while leading a multi-skilled maintenance team.

The Role
  • Lead and manage the site maintenance and engineering function.
  • Deliver maintenance objectives, KPIs, and operational targets.
  • Oversee planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and control engineering costs.
  • Provide leadership and technical support to the engineering team.
  • Prioritise maintenance activities to minimise production downtime.
  • Coordinate internal resources and external contractors as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
  • Manage site utilities and ensure continuity of essential services.
  • Support the development, training, and performance of the maintenance team.
The Candidate
  • Trade-qualified in a mechanical or electrical discipline, or hold an engineering qualification, or possess equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum five years' experience within engineering or maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising maintenance or engineering teams.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proven people management and team development experience.
  • Experience within food or FMCG manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel between sites as required.
