Maintenance Fitter

We're working with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in County Louth to appoint a Maintenance Fitter into their high-performing engineering team. This is a key hire for a modern, fast-paced production site that continues to invest heavily in both people and plant.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance across a range of production and packaging machinery
• Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs in a timely manner
• Support production teams to maximise equipment uptime and efficiency
• Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Maintain clear and accurate maintenance records
• Ensure all engineering activities are carried out in line with site H&S standards

Criteria

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter within a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Experience working on automated or fast-moving production equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
• Positive, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
• Comfortable working within a structured shift pattern
• Food or FMCG experience would be advantageous, but not essential
