Maintenance Engineers

Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire £40,000-£45,000 + Overtime Rotating Days 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

We are recruiting 1 x Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer and 1 x Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a specialist food manufacturing site in Chipping Norton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a niche milling operation - the only one of its kind in the area - offering excellent training, long-term stability, and genuine progression into senior engineering roles.

You'll be joining a close-knit engineering team, currently 2 engineers strong, with plans to grow to 5+ engineers within the next 6-12 months, creating clear development pathways into leadership positions.

• Planned and reactive maintenance across food production machinery

• Reducing breakdowns through continuous improvement and proactive maintenance

• Machinery installations and project work

• Working on:

  • Separators, grinders, conveyors, elevators, washers, rollers, baggers

  • AC/DC motors, PLC-controlled equipment (Siemens), sensors, relays

  • Belts, chains, bearings, gearboxes

• Time-served or apprentice-trained engineer

• Minimum 3 years' hands-on engineering experience

• Electrical role: 17th or 18th Edition qualification required

• Food/FMCG manufacturing background preferred (but not essential)

• Strong fault-finding ability and proactive mindset

• Full on-site training due to specialist machinery and processes

• Progression into Senior Engineer roles as the team expands

• Multi-Skilled Mechanical: £40,000 (flexible for the right candidate)

• Electrical Engineer: £45,000 (flexible for the right candidate)

• Overtime paid at 1.25x weekdays / 1.5x weekends

• Stable rotating day shifts

• Week 1: Monday-Thursday 07:00-15:00 & Saturday 07:00-13:00 (on-call)

• Week 2: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00
