Pay: €45,000

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing food manufacturing organisation on the appointment of a Maintenance Engineer in County Donegal.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a modern production environment, working across mechanical, electrical and process equipment while playing a key role in improving plant reliability.

In your new role:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and control system faults
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and minimise downtime
• Support the smooth running of production lines
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve issues
• Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, safety and efficiency
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and engineering documentation
• Support operators with equipment training and safe working practices
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and food hygiene

What you will need to succeed:

• Relevant Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering qualification
• Strong multi-skilled engineering experience
• Experience in a maintenance environment
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach

Desirable:

• 2+ years' maintenance experience within food manufacturing
• Experience with automated production or process equipment
• Knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance
