Maintenance Engineer

The successful candidate will operate a planned, preventative, and safe maintenance service on all equipment on site.

• Responsible for corrective, planned, and preventative maintenance tasks of production plant to minimise downtime
• Carry out predictive maintenance tasks and report on findings
• Maintain and implement planned maintenance schedules and routines for all equipment
• Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with relevant legislation
• Order plant parts as and when required
• Manage maintenance contractors onsite to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain a tidy and secure work environment
• Provide regular information to assist management with decision-making
• Maintain files and administration as required to comply with office processes and procedures
• Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the maintenance department

• Minimum 3 years' experience in plant maintenance, preferably within a heavy industry/engineering environment
• Hands on approach, preferably with welding experience
• Capable of troubleshooting mechanical downtime issues and resolving problems to root cause
• Experience with a wide range of production plant
• Experience in maintenance task planning, scheduling, and recording
• Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and business requirements
• Willing to undertake professional, organisational, and administrative duties efficiently and cost effectively
• Capable of undertaking and/or assisting with mechanical tasks
