Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer - Poynton

Hours: Mon-Thu 7:30-16:00, Fri 7:30-15:30

We're recruiting a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support a busy industrial site. You'll handle planned and reactive maintenance, equipment repairs, statutory inspections and ensure the smooth running of key machinery.

Key Duties

• Manage and update the preventative maintenance schedule
• Respond to breakdowns across cranes, saws, FLTs and other plant equipment
• Arrange statutory inspections with approved providers
• Carry out PAT testing and general maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and daily activity logs
• Support health & safety, quality and environmental compliance (ISO standards)
• Work with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe working practices
• Occasional out-of-hours support when required

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a maintenance or engineering role
• Strong mechanical/electrical fault-finding abilities
• Comfortable working with a variety of industrial equipment
• Good organisational and communication skills
• A proactive, safety-first mindset
