Maintenance Engineer

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer based in the southwest. Location: Wiveliscombe (near Wellington, Taunton, Tiverton). Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am - 4.30 pm. Regular overtime is available. Own transport is essential due to the rural location. Salary: £35,000 to £40,000. Overtime benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery
• Diagnosing faults, replacing parts and ensuring equipment runs efficiently
• Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner
• Supporting installations, refurbishments and upgrades of machinery and control panels
• Keeping accurate maintenance records and working closely with production teams to reduce downtime

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance (industrial, workshop or manufacturing environment)
• 18th Edition or equivalent electrical qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Confident working from diagrams and machine manuals
• Practical knowledge of fault finding and preventative maintenance
• Positive attitude and a team player
