Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Leeds
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
On-Call: 1 in 4 weeks

• £75 retainer

• £150 per call-out

Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team at our client's manufacturing facility in Leeds. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background and a solid understanding of mechanical systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring our equipment and machinery run smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on minimising downtime through effective preventative and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing machinery

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults

• Assist with equipment installations and upgrades

• Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with site and industry standards

• Participate in a 4-weekly on-call rota, providing support for breakdowns outside normal working hours

Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer:

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within manufacturing

• Strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge and capability

• Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
