DescriptionPriory Beacon House is looking to recruit a maintenance to join the team. This is a part time role of 20 hours per week.
Beacon House, part of Priory, is a welcoming 18-bed residential service based in Melton Mowbray. It is home to Flourish, our innovative, therapy-led addiction treatment programme, which offers tailored support for a wide range of addictions in a calm, comfortable setting.
What you'll be doingYou'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
- Maintains a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the site, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.
- Ensures that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all site areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
- Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the Maintenance Manager (and then actions as agreed) to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.
- Carry out General Maintenance tasks as defined in the Appendix and in the General Property Maintenance Guide. You can find additional information in the attached job description.

Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required, along with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. The role also demands the capability to work with minimal supervision, maintaining productivity and accuracy independently. A strong customer-focused attitude is essential, as is a collaborative team-working ethic. Experience or an understanding of building, plumbing, mechanical, or electrical disciplines is desirable.
