Maintenance Assistant
Location: Field-based, South Wales & West Region
Hours: Full-time
Includes: Company van, tools & uniform provided
We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Assistant to deliver high-quality remedial and maintenance works across South Wales & West developments. You'll visit homes of all tenures - including open-market and Housing Association properties - to complete snagging, identify issues and carry out multi-trade repairs, ensuring every customer receives outstanding aftercare.
Key ResponsibilitiesAttend scheduled homeowner appointments Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility for evenings or Saturdays (TOIL provided).
Carry out a range of multi-trade remedial works, including carpentry, basic plumbing, plaster patching, mastic, door adjustments and general finishing.
Diagnose faults and identify the most effective solutions on site.
Deliver first-class customer service, ensuring residents are informed, reassured, and satisfied with completed work.
Maintain detailed job records, notes, and photos via company systems, and communicate outcomes to the Customer Service team.
Follow all Health & Safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.
Strong multi-trade background (carpentry/joinery essential).
Experience working in occupied homes, property maintenance, or customer-facing repair environments.
Solid understanding of NHBC and LABC warranty requirements.
Good working knowledge of general construction, Health & Safety, and environmental regulations.
Problem-solving ability, self-motivation, and excellent time management.
Professional, calm, and courteous communication style.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
