Magento Developer - Frontend (FULLY REMOTE)

Magento Frontend Developer is required by my client to join their team of talented developers. This is a fully remote role.

In this role, you'll work closely with their experienced Magento team to create bespoke, high-quality solutions for a portfolio of eCommerce websites.

While past Magento experience is highly preferred, they are open to candidates with a strong background in Front End development for PHP-based frameworks.

You'll receive mentorship and guidance, but a passion for learning and self-improvement is key to thriving in this role.

What does a typical day looks like?

• Develop custom Front End Magento modules and functionality, ensuring seamless user experiences.
• Build and refine responsive designs using modern HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript standards.
• Collaborate with the team on scoping and estimation sessions for new projects and features.
• Peer-review code contributions from other developers to maintain high-quality standards.
• Provide technical advice and support to the wider eCommerce team regarding Magento Front End development.

Essential skills

• 3+ years of experience in Front End development, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in CSS preprocessors.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• A keen focus on performance, security, and user experience in eCommerce.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Desirable skills

• Experience developing custom Front End solutions for Magento 2 (Commerce [Enterprise] edition is a bonus).
• Familiarity with Magento's Front End architecture.
• Knowledge of PHP to collaborate effectively with Back End developers.
• Experience with debugging tools.
• Familiarity with Agile project management processes.
• Exposure to containerization tools
