Machine Operator-Manufacturing

Location: Blackburn
Pay Rate: £12.69 per hour (subject to increase from April)
Hours: Continental Shift Pattern - 12-hour shifts (6:00am-6:00pm / 6:00pm-6:00am)

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (60 hours)
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday (24 hours)
Rotating: 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights

We are currently recruiting Machine Operators to join a well-established plastics manufacturing company in Blackburn. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term employment within a supportive and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate blow and injection moulding machinery
• Carry out quality checks on finished products
• Record production data, including parts, rejects, and weights
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Ensure smooth handovers between shifts

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Comfortable using PPE
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, with good attention to detail
