Machine Operative - Pultrusion

Pertemps Milton Keynes is seeking a Machine Operative for BASTECH at Lancaster Business Park in Wing, Leighton Buzzard, offering £13.00 per hour on a full time, temporary basis with potential for permanency.

This hands on role involves operating and monitoring the pultrusion production line, managing the roving rack, and mixing resin to support continuous output. You will ensure products are manufactured safely to required standards while completing production documentation.

The Role

• Operating and monitoring the pultrusion production line
• Supporting the day to day running of the pultrusion machine process
• Mixing resin as required
• Managing the roving rack to support continuous production
• Completing production documentation and records
• Using hand tools and measuring equipment
• Carrying out general housekeeping and keeping the work area clean and tidy
• Following all health and safety procedures

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Comfortable using hand tools
• Able to use measuring instruments
• Physically fit and able to carry out regular lifting
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team

Working Environment: This is a physically demanding role involving regular lifting of heavy objects. The working environment may include a mild resin odor and filament dust.
