Overview

Anderselite are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering high-value, complex projects across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and residential sectors.

Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in the successful commercial delivery of M&E packages from tender through to final account. Working closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners, you will ensure cost control, accurate forecasting, and value-driven outcomes.

  • Manage all commercial aspects of M&E packages, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier packages.
  • Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and financial performance.
  • Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting to senior management.
  • Work collaboratively with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Support in the preparation of tenders and cost plans for upcoming opportunities.
About You

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working for either a tier 1 or tier 2 M&E contractor and a proactive approach to commercial management.

Essential Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical building services projects.
  • Excellent understanding of construction contracts (NEC, JCT).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
