The Company

This established Irish main contractor has built a strong reputation delivering high-quality residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments across Ireland. With a growing pipeline of projects across Dublin and Leinster, the company continues to expand and is now seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator to support multiple live construction projects throughout the Greater Dublin Area.

The Role: Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator

The Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator will play a key role in managing and coordinating all M&E aspects across a number of live construction projects throughout Dublin. Working closely with site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients, you will ensure mechanical and electrical services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. This role suits a technically strong M&E professional who enjoys working across a variety of projects within a fast-paced construction environment.

Must Have Requirements
  • Proven experience required as an M&E Coordinator or Building Services Coordinator
  • Experience working with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor required
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems
  • Proven experience required on large-scale construction projects
  • Full driving licence required
Preferred Experience
  • Healthcare, commercial, residential, or education project experience preferred
  • Experience reviewing coordinated service drawings beneficial
  • BCAR and commissioning experience advantageous
  • Strong understanding of value engineering and technical coordination preferred
Nice to Have
  • Mechanical or Electrical trade background
  • Degree qualification in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience working within live environments beneficial
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate M&E services across multiple projects throughout the Greater Dublin Area
  • Attend pre-construction and subcontractor appointment meetings
  • Review mechanical and electrical service drawings and provide technical input on layouts and installations
  • Assist the QS department with the review of M&E tenders during pre-appointment stages
  • Identify and implement value engineering opportunities where appropriate
  • Liaise with consultants, architects, engineers, and subcontractors regarding design and installation matters
  • Coordinate the production and review of coordinated services and builders work drawings
  • Chair and minute M&E subcontractor meetings throughout project delivery
  • Support site management teams with inspections and monitoring of service installations
  • Liaise with clients in live environments where service interruptions or modifications are required
  • Coordinate with utility providers regarding service connections and project programmes
  • Manage service testing and commissioning activities alongside specialist engineers and subcontractors
  • Witness testing and commissioning procedures and review associated reports
  • Assist with BCAR documentation and project safety files
  • Carry out snagging inspections on subcontractor works
About You

You are an organised and technically strong M&E Coordinator with experience delivering building services packages on Irish construction projects.

You understand programme delivery, technical coordination, commissioning, and quality control while managing multiple stakeholders across live project environments.

You have strong communication skills and can confidently coordinate between subcontractors, consultants, site teams, and clients to ensure projects progress efficiently and safely.
