Job Description

This post is a Training post and you are offered the post under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, Section 3. You will be paid a % of the Pay Band 5 Maximum Point. Once you have achieved all relevant qualifications and competencies you will move to Band 5. The % will be determined by your training requirements and expected duration to complete both the qualifications and competencies which will be agreed and communicated in writing by your Line Manager.

The NHS Grampian Payroll Team is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who wishes to pursue a Payroll career and join our dynamic team in the People and Culture Directorate, based in the HR Service Centre (HRSC). In addition to a competitive salary, flexible working, pension scheme and benefits package we offer a comprehensive three year training programme including a professional qualification to equip you for your future in NHS Payroll.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Work to strict deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer care to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 standard grades, including English and Maths.
  • Good communication skills and a positive team player.
  • Experience of ePayroll/NHS Workforce systems is an advantage, although not essential.
