Where you'll be working?
BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
What you'll be doing?
You will provide supportive line management for all LV Engineering colleagues, carrying out performance reviews, setting clear objectives, and guiding development.
You will champion wellbeing, engagement, and retention while managing any people related processes with fairness and care.
You will mentor the engineering team, plan resources, balance workloads, and monitor capacity to shape future needs.
You will support succession planning, uphold quality standards, and contribute to audits and technical reviews.
You will maintain strong documentation, embed safety in all activities, collaborate closely with wider teams, and play an active role in business planning, growth, and coordination meetings.
What you'll bring:
HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Significant experience in LV control panel, MCC, or industrial electrical engineering.
Previous experience managing engineering teams.
Strong understanding of engineering standards and quality requirements.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Experience within the UK Water or Utilities sector.
