Term time only plus 5 PD days
Lunchtime Support Assistants8.17 Hours per week.
Working hours are as follows;
Monday 11.50am to 2.00pm (includes training) Tuesday to Friday 11.50am to 1.20pm
Lunchtime Support Assistants15.67 Hours per week.
Working hours are as follows;
Monday 11.00am to 2.40pm (includes training) Tuesday to Friday 11.00am to 2.00pm
The Bridge School is a friendly, welcoming school with a supportive staff team who are committed to making a difference. We are an all-age special school for pupils with profound, complex and severe learning difficulties operating across multiple sites within Telford, each providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment tailored to the needs of our pupils.

About the roleWe are seeking caring, reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Support Assistants to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in helping pupils enjoy a safe, structured, and positive lunchtime experience.
You will support pupils in the dining hall, classroom and playground, helping them develop independence, social skills and confidence. You'll work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure pupils' individual needs are met throughout the lunchtime period.
Key responsibilities- Supporting pupils during lunch, including helping with eating/feeding, social interaction and transitions. Training will be provided as necessary.
- Supervising pupils in the dining hall, classroom, playground and other indoor spaces.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, play and communication.
- Assisting pupils with personal care needs where required.
- Ensuring a safe, calm and inclusive environment at all times.
- Working as part of a supportive team to uphold the school's values and safeguarding standards.
- Is caring, patient and committed to supporting pupils with complex needs.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Is a resilient and reliable individual.
- Is adaptable, creative, and able to respond to pupils' individual needs.
- Is willing to undertake training to learn specialist skills and approaches used within the school.
- A warm, supportive staff team who value collaboration and wellbeing.
- High-quality training across varying areas such as communication, medical needs (as appropriate) and behaviour support.
