Lunchtime Supervisor G1 - 2 FTW

11.45am-1.30pm Monday-Friday 8h:45m per week

Start Date: Monday 1st June 2026

Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, nurturing and caring Lunchtime Supervisor to supervise pupils during lunch breaks.

We offer a positive working environment, working alongside committed, supportive and enthusiastic staff, children, parents and governors.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
  • Ensure children are safe at all times and follow school rules
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and boundaries so pupils remain in permitted areas
  • Identify and report hazards, accidents, or concerns immediately
  • Supervise pupils during lunch breaks in the dining hall, playground, and/or classrooms
  • Encourage positive play and social interaction
  • Deal with minor behaviour issues calmly and fairly
  • Resolve small disputes and prevent bullying
  • Apply the school's behaviour policy
  • Report serious incidents to teaching or senior staff
  • Provide basic first aid when trained to do so
  • Promote active, safe, and enjoyable play

Please note any position that involves working with children requires declaration of ALL convictions/cautions regardless of whether these are deemed as spent and a DBS check will be carried out before any employment commences.

References will be obtained before interview at shortlisting stage and may be used in the interview process. If previous employment has included working with children, then at least one referee must be from this employment.

This position is subject to recommendations within KCSIE September 25 which includes Internet searches, a criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions in your application form.
