Logistics Supervisor

About The Role

Are you ready to join a company that truly values its people and recognizes your contribution? Due to continued expansion and increasing demands, we are looking for a Transport Planner who will thrive in a busy environment.

Reporting to the Regional Transport Manager, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient transport routes across multiple Sunbelt Rentals depots for up to 10 drivers or 8 vehicles.

You will play an active role in ensuring the safe operation of our transport services and that our drivers, vehicles, and routes operate at the highest safety standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for route efficiency, leading review processes to optimize schedules and 3PL usage.
• Ensuring operational performance meets KPI targets, including on-time delivery, vehicle productivity, accident reduction, vehicle uptime, and revenue compliance.
• Proactively reducing missed time-slots and late deliveries.
• Resolving transport issues from customers and drivers.
• Briefing and de-briefing drivers.

This role requires passing a full clean DBS check and providing a 5-year reference history.

About You

We will support your success with training and development opportunities. To excel as a Transport Planner, you should have:

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Experience in transport planning, managing routes, drivers, and vehicles across multiple locations. A Transport Manager CPC qualification or working towards it is preferred.
• Proficiency in transport and workforce management systems such as Paragon, Job Watch, Rotec, and Microsoft Office.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
• A personable, proactive, and resilient approach with a commercial focus.
