Logistics Security Officer

Pay rate: £12.60. Various shifts will be discussed at interview.

Mitie is looking for a Logistics Security Officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.

It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided).

Vetting: It is vital that you have a full 5 year checkable employment/education history; failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.

• Deliver industry leading customer service
• Conduct patrols of the depot
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
• Utilise CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the depot management teams
• Deter theft, whether internal and/or external, and other poor working practices
• Conduct searches (to be discussed at interview)
• Respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
• Highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
• Support with access and egress to and from the site as required by the systems installed
• Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview)
• Must have a reasonable level of PC skills
