Logistics Coordinator / Gallery Registrar

Our client, an Art Gallery located in London, is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator / Registrar to join their team.

Your role as the Logistics Coordinator / Registrar will involve managing all internal and external shipping and the distribution of gallery works.

On a day-to-day basis, you will liaise with shipping companies and customs agents for the setup and dismantling of all events and fairs.

Other duties of the Logistics Coordinator / Registrar include:

• Using the gallery's databases to track inventory
• Providing logistical support for all fairs and exhibitions
• Tracking all internal, external, and fair costs through Excel shipping documents
• Creating accurate condition reports
• Creating Authenticity Certificates
• Coordinating fairs and exhibitions, assisting with setup and dismantling
• Maintaining an up-to-date shipping calendar
• Finding competitive quotes and summarizing them for the sales team
• Receiving invoices from the accounts department
• Reviewing quotes related to shipments

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the industry, particularly with shipping logistics.

You must have experience dealing with shipments, including booking and managing shipments daily.

Candidates from a gallery background or from a fine art/logistics company with gallery clients are preferred.

We are looking for candidates with strong negotiation and communication skills, as you will negotiate rates and quotes and act as the main contact for the primary storage provider.
