Locum Podiatric Surgeon

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT is seeking a Locum Podiatric Surgeon. The post will be based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, with an average of 3.5 PAs Programmed Activities of Direct Clinical Care.

As a senior employee of the Trust, you will work in close co-operation with other clinical, medical professional, and managerial colleagues to provide high-quality healthcare to patients. Your responsibilities will include providing a first-class clinical service, effective leadership, and undertaking work in accordance with the Trust's procedures and operating policies.

The Locum Podiatric Surgeon will be responsible for the diagnosis, surgical, and non-surgical management of complex foot and ankle conditions. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including diabetic services, vascular, and physiotherapy, to deliver care aimed at improving patient mobility and reducing long-term disability.

Main Duties

• Diagnosis, surgical, and non-surgical management of complex foot and ankle conditions
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver care
• Provide effective leadership to staff engaged in the specialty

Person Specification

• Diploma/degree, plus additional knowledge and experience of treating high-risk patients; relevant postgraduate certification
• F.C.Pod.S and Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training
• Registered with HCPC
• Holds approved qualification in local analgesia
• Prescription only medicines certificate
• IRMER certificate
