Locum GP's Required Leeds £80.00 per hour

Required for OOH/GP Surgery Contracts based in Leeds

MORNINGS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS AND LONG DAYS AVAILABLE

Dream Medical is seeking Locum GPs with a passion for fast-paced treatment to undertake ongoing rotas with an esteemed client of ours based at a site in Leeds.

We are looking for locum GPs interested in doing day or night work, or a mix of both. Weekends are also available with higher rates of pay.

There is a very strong community team who aid the service on a daily basis.

This role entails:

1. Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence.
2. Making professional, autonomous decisions.
3. Assessing healthcare needs, screening for disease risk factors, early signs of illness, and developing treatment and care plans.
4. Providing counselling and health education.
5. Referring patients to other care providers as required.
6. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes.
7. Championing the practice's clinical governance program and working with the Senior Management Team on clinical governance and service issues.
8. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
9. Supporting other clinical team members through clinical supervision as needed.

Requirements:

• Full and current unrestricted GMC (UK) registration on the GP Register.
• MRCGP qualification.
• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
• GP Vocational or additional experience in general practice.
• Knowledge of the NHS and understanding of clinical governance.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to an ever-changing environment.

The hourly rate for this position is very competitive at £80.00 per hour. We can offer shifts and rotas 2 months in advance. Please apply with your most recent CV. We are willing to wait for GPs with a notice period of 3 months or more.
