Main duties of the job- Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and video consultations for a diverse patient list.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions in line with best practice and clinical guidelines.
- Provide health education, preventative care, and lifestyle advice tailored to individual patient needs.
- Manage repeat prescriptions, referrals, and follow-up care efficiently and accurately.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records using our clinical systems - EMIS WEB
We are a growing surgery currently serving around 7100 patients

- Provide health education, preventative care, and lifestyle advice tailored to individual patient needs.
- Manage repeat prescriptions, referrals, and follow-up care efficiently and accurately.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records using our clinical systems (e.g., EMIS Web or SystmOne).
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Inclusion on the NHS GP Performers List.
- Current indemnity cover and enhanced DBS check.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and a patient-first mindset.
- Adaptability and confidence working in different practice settings.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to care.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
