A large and formal private residence in the Cotswolds is seeking an experienced and highly professional Head Butler to oversee front of house operations. This is a part time residence requiring flexibility around the principals' schedule.

You will be supported by a long standing Under Butler (4 years in post) and will work alongside an established household team including a large gardening team, two housekeepers, and a chauffeur.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formal silver service and impeccable wine and beverage presentation
• Planning, organising and executing shoot parties and formal luncheons
• Overseeing table settings, service standards, and guest experience
• Supervising and guiding the Under Butler
• Coordinating with the wider household team to ensure seamless operations
• Maintaining high standards of discretion, presentation, and professionalism at all times

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Butler or Senior Butler within a formal private household
• Strong knowledge of wine, cellar management, and formal service etiquette
• Experience organising shoot lunches and country house hospitality
• Confident leadership skills with a collaborative approach
• Impeccable presentation and attention to detail
• Full driving licence (essential due to location)
