What do we need?

We are looking to recruit an experienced Litigation Lawyer / Fee Earner to join our growing team. This role is suitable for qualified Solicitors, CILEX Lawyers or experienced Case Handlers with a strong litigation background.

You will manage your own caseload, deliver first class client service and contribute to the continued success and reputation of the firm.

Overall purpose of the role:

To provide first rate legal services to our clients according to their specific needs, ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the group and by regulatory bodies. To always act as an ambassador for the group, actively promoting its services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a varied litigation caseload, providing high-quality legal advice tailored to each client's needs
  • Delivering excellent client care in line with Jackson Lees Group values and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring files are managed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Recording time, billing and financial information accurately and in line with agreed targets
  • Proactively identifying and managing risk, including complaints and claims where applicable
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Actively contributing to business development and the promotion of Jackson Lees Group services
  • Supporting and supervising junior colleagues where appropriate
  • Participating in departmental meetings and contributing ideas to improve systems, service delivery and client experience
  • Keeping professional knowledge up to date and meeting CPD requirements
What we're looking for:
  • Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or experienced Litigation Fee Earner
  • Proven experience managing your own caseload within a litigation environment
  • Strong technical ability alongside excellent client care skills
  • Confident communicator with good organisational and time management skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and professional approach
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team, while also working independently
  • Committed to ongoing development and maintaining high professional standards
  • Experience handling TOLATA matters, with a strong understanding of property and trust disputes between co owners.
  • Exposure to contentious probate work, including inheritance disputes, estate challenges and related litigation.
