Linux Software Developer (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Linux Software Developer for a short-term contract role within the Telecommunications industry. This fully remote position, available to candidates based within the EU, offers an immediate start and is ideal for professionals looking to contribute to a high-impact 2-month sprint. The daily rate for this role is €250.

The successful candidate will be highly proficient in working with Linux, specifically Debian distributions, and have demonstrable experience developing and maintaining Back End systems within a technical environment. You will be tasked with working on critical infrastructure components, particularly focused on API server development, configuration and optimisation of Apache Webserver, and database operations using PostgreSQL.

You should be comfortable working autonomously within a remote team, with excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong understanding of secure development practices within telecommunications systems. The role requires the integration and enhancement of existing software components, optimising system performance, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to solution design.

Required skills include advanced knowledge of Debian Linux administration, experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs, hands-on use of PostgreSQL databases, and configuring and deploying Apache Webserver in a production environment. Familiarity with modern development pipelines and code versioning tools is also expected.
