Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all pool sessions in line with health and safety regulations
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times
- Support SEN pupils sensitively during swimming activities
- Carry out pool checks and maintain a safe environment
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Work closely with teaching and therapy staff
- Maintain accurate safety and incident records
- Valid lifeguard qualification (e.g. RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Calm, responsible, and attentive approach
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Experience in educational or therapeutic swimming settings
- Understanding of SEN needs and support strategies
- Full-time, stable position during term time (and possible school holiday sessions)
